BOOKING MY FLIGHT TO IRELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tá mé sásta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I just want cake from this delish coffee shop in Dublin.
Had to share.
Go figure. At least I found a seat, 4 train cars later.
Update 1: I love Palo Alto, so many people disembark! I now have an upper level single window seat!
Update 2: Apparently almost every train is late, broken, or cancelled this morning. My train would be behind the broken one. I came super close to boarding the one that broke but let it pass me and boarded the next one (still one earlier than my usual train) so I guess this is as good as it gets.
Update 3: A southbound train decided to borrow the free set of tracks and promptly broke down on them. That makes for two trains broken. #AmIEverGoingToGetToWork?
Update 4: I’ve made it into the city, about 20 minutes late. On my way to the financial district. Hoping the rest of the day does not suck as much as this morning. Thank god I elected for egg-in-toast instead of cereal or I’d be starving.
Realise that you bought yummy, healthy, vegetarian sushi from Trader Joes on Saturday, meant to eat it on Sunday, needed something you could eat in a hurry on Sunday, forgot you bought sushi, open the fridge on Monday and see yummy sushi, only to realise it expired yesterday.
So what do you think fitblrs? Can I eat expired sushi the day after it expired if it doesn’t contain any meat and looks okay (albeit a little soggy on the tempura center)?
…but I guess that was too much to ask.
Stupid visa requirements are going to force me to fly Delta instead. Kill me now. (I’m hoping it will be better than my terrible United transatlantic flight…at least it looks like I have free & unlimited access to the personal in-seat entertainment thing). I wouldn’t mind flying Delta instead if it was at least less expensive. But it’s not. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that STA Travel sells Delta flights that stopover in the US before Ireland instead of London, making a change in the return portion of the flight easier and cheaper.
I guess it will be fine. I’ll bite the bullet, spend a ridiculous amount of money on a return airfare, have the security that will come with knowing immigration/border control won’t freak out at me, and get travel insurance booked finally so I can get my finalised WHA on Monday.
I just want all airlines to be as awesome as Virgin Atlantic, because they made me feel like a valued passenger, and I had a fabulous time flying with them.
I will miss the free spirits, cute goody bags, to-die-for vegetarian food, above-and-beyond flight attendant service, fabulous coat closets, great leg room and side ledge fun bar, two-story airplane, mood-lighting, and everything else.
I will be stuck on a dingy, off-white, cramped, long flight with plain food and none of the cool things I mentioned above. Such is life.
At least I have the flight to Europe to complain about? It could be worse, I could not have the opportunity to go, and then I wouldn’t be flying at all.
