So, it appears they don’t feel like granting me an interview.
I think it’s their loss.
I don’t really have time to be sad over it so I’m giving myself tonight and then I need to move on.
This is a beautiful thing to see. My JET Application is now living in DC for the next 2 or so months until results/interview-call-backs are posted! *fingers crossed*
SO HARD. They all seem absolutely AWESOME!
Right now I’m thinking (not in any particular order) Oita, Hokkaido (snowsports!), Hiroshima, Okayama, Tottori…but I don’t know, Osaka also seems awesome, and so does every other prefecture…and I need to narrow it down to three.
If you have any insight, please share!
My interests include photography, outdoor adventures (running, walking, hiking, snorkeling, biking, snowboarding), reading, and although I enjoy sunshine and warm weather, I am adaptable and will survive in super rainy/snowy places okay.
I think I would rather be placed in somewhere more “countryside” than “city” because I’m trying to learn as much Japanese as possible…I also like close communities…
Maybe…
1. Okayama
2. Hiroshima
3. Okinawa
Update: Just completed everything in the application except my Statement of Purpose and photocopying everything! I WILL finish this tomorrow (and then look over it every day for four days, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything…)
I am applying for this super cool, absolutely awesome, words cannot describe, program in Japan (aka JET) and I’m mailing the application to DC in less than a week. And the best part of that whole thing? The application is FINALLY starting to resemble the finished application! It was one of those situations where a lot of hard work had to be done for a long time, without seeing any results, and then all of a sudden it’s becoming a possibility. I love that realization. Every time.
